About
Ever fancied sketching among telescopes, globes, and ancient scientific instruments? Join us for our second Whipple Scribble of the year! Step into Cambridge University's home for the history of science for a relaxed, creative evening.
Whether you're a seasoned artist or just curious to try something new, all abilities are welcome at this after-hours sketching session. Free to join, it’s a relaxed way to connect with fellow creatives in the Cambridge area.
At 5:30pm, our Learning Coordinator, Alison Giles, will lead a short optional introduction to the Whipple collection. This 20-minute tour offers a brief overview, but you’re also welcome to head straight to sketching if you prefer.
🖍 What to bring: We’ll provide basic materials such as paper and pencils. Feel free to bring your favourite sketchbook or dry media. Please note: paints and watercolours are not permitted in the galleries for conservation reasons.
📝 Do I need to book? Yes, please! Booking helps us plan the space and materials.
Tickets are free, and donations are warmly welcomed.
