Young visitor in the Learning Gallery using a red telescope.

Get hands-on with museum objects! Try out mini experiments, sort and classify, and collect your own data. Can you work out which parts of the learning gallery a magnet will stick to? How many different ways can you sort a pile of shells? What amazing things can you spot through our telescopes and microscopes? Can you measure sound, length and time—and record your discoveries?

This is a drop-in session, so pop in anytime and stay as long as you like. We’ll kick things off with a short, 10-minute introduction at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm, then the rest of the time is yours to explore. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
